Industry News

IFA Berlin returns, 4–8 SeptemberMesse Berlin hosts the 102nd edition of Europe’s largest consumer-electronics show, with more than 1,800 exhibitors and around 245,000 visitors expected from some 140 countries. Accommodation across the city fills early in September — delegates are advised to secure rooms and transfers well ahead.
TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, Cannes, 27 September – 1 OctoberThe global duty-free and travel-retail industry gathers at the Palais des Festivals, with over 480 exhibitors and around 8,000 professionals expected. Cannes moves straight into its autumn congress season from here, and the Croisette’s hotel capacity tightens accordingly.
Expo Real in Munich, 5–7 OctoberEurope’s leading trade fair for property and investment returns to Messe München, with a conference programme of around 400 speakers spanning the European, Middle Eastern and US markets. The fair lands in Munich’s busiest autumn fortnight, so central hotels and flight capacity are in high demand.
International TV & Entertainment Content Market, Cannes, 12–15 OctoberThe 42nd edition of MIPCOM brings more than 10,600 delegates and over 3,300 buyers to the Palais des Festivals, barely a fortnight after the travel-retail industry departs. Delegates attending both markets can hold accommodation through the gap rather than rebooking at peak rates.
Web Summit, Lisbon, 9–12 NovemberMore than 70,000 attendees from over 160 countries are expected at the Altice Arena and FIL, with upwards of 900 speakers across twenty content tracks. Lisbon’s hotel stock sells out city-wide during the event, and private transfers spare delegates the long queues between the venues and the city centre.
